Operations Excellence Manager
Application for
Operations Excellence Manager
Dear Jo,
Thank you for approaching me about Rentokil’s Operations Excellence Manager role. I am interested in its focus on implementing improvements through technology, service planning and technical training. My background combines business leadership with hands-on pest work and practical experience building operational systems.
In my pest operations work, I built and invested in a custom AI back office to coordinate calls, inventory and route optimisation, connecting these workflows with Xero, ServiceM8, Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. This brought customer acquisition, scheduling and delivery into a connected operational process and substantially improved conversion performance and route efficiency.
At Flick Anticimex, I serviced commercial accounts and actively participated in technical training and capability development. Separately, I organised industry performance review discussions with pest operators and regulators during the transition to new restrictions on second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides. These experiences strengthened my understanding of how operational improvement depends on technician capability, practical procedures and a clear response to regulatory change.
Earlier in my career, I helped build Modernista! into a business of more than 100 people and led consultancy and technology ventures across several markets. I bring that experience in coordinating stakeholders and turning ideas into delivery alongside my Queensland general and timber pest credentials.
At Rentokil, I would work with branch leaders, planners and technicians to identify service bottlenecks, trial improvements and assess their impact on productivity, quality and adoption before wider deployment.
I am based in Brisbane and would be pleased to discuss the Sydney location and national travel expectations. Thank you again for reaching out. I would value a conversation about the priorities for the role and what success in the first year would look like.
Kind regards,Harley Williams
